Inside the audience chamber, along with the Emperor, high-ranking figures of Griffint stood in a row.
“Thank you for traveling from so far away. Forgive my haste, but is it true that you defeated the Demon?”
It seemed news that a Demon had appeared, and that Vim and his companions had slain it, had already reached the Emperor’s ears.
“Yes, that is correct. I defeated the Demon and the horde of demonic beasts.”
“And your name?”
“Forgive my late introduction. My name is Vim Abel.”
The moment Vim spoke, the atmosphere in the audience chamber shifted, and whispers broke out.
“So you are the Magician of the Abyss?”
“Yes, King Leoria bestowed the title ‘Magician of the Abyss’ upon me.”
“You have my thanks. If those Demons had been left unchecked, our nation’s forces would have suffered catastrophic damage.”
The Emperor stood up from his ornately decorated throne and bowed his head to Vim and his companions.
“Please raise your head. I simply could not stand by and watch.”
“To possess such power and yet remain so humble… You are remarkably mature for someone so young.”
The Emperor raised his head and sat back down on his throne.
“You must be exhausted from your long journey. We have prepared rooms for you, so please rest well. As for the alliance, let us consider it favorably.”
Once the audience with the Emperor concluded, an imperial attendant guided them to the guest quarters.
“This will be Lord Vim’s room, and next door will be Lady Hana and Lady Misa’s room. Members of the Order may use these quarters. Please, make yourselves at home.”
The attendant bowed respectfully and departed.
The guest room was lavishly built, featuring a canopy bed, a plush sofa, and a beautiful carpet covering the floor.
“The conference between the monarchs is tomorrow, then…”
It was decided that the conference between Emperor Griffint and King Leoria would take place inside this royal castle tomorrow.
Vim lay down on the bed to fully restore his mana.

The next morning, after having breakfast, Vim’s party was brought to the reception room.
“Lord Vim, if you would?”
They had already informed Emperor Griffint that Vim would use spatial magic to connect the royal capital of Leoria to the imperial capital of Griffint.
“Understood.”
Vim quietly closed his eyes.
He cast his spatial magic, imagining a connection between the interior of Leoria’s royal palace and this very room.
Vim’s magic expanded gradually until it grew large enough for a adult to pass through.
Through that portal, King Leoria stepped forward.
“This is truly incredible.”
King Leoria voiced his admiration.
Emperor Griffint also wore an expression of total shock.
“To think spatial magic could be used like this…”
Since this was vastly different from the ordinary use of spatial magic, their surprise was completely natural.
“Nice to meet you, Emperor Griffint. Thank you for inviting me.”
“The pleasure is mine. I look forward to working together.”
Emperor Griffint and King Leoria shook hands.
After witnessing this, Vim and his companions quietly left the reception room.
