Having lost their leader, the massive horde of demonic beasts turns and flees into the distance.

Behind him, Misa and Hana are still fighting.

There are still beasts flying in the sky, but leaving them to Diana should be fine.

“I’m not letting you get away.”

A subtle smile pulls up the right corner of Vim’s mouth.

“I’ll finish off all of you at once.”

Six tornadoes, even larger than before and wrapped in lightning, appear.

“Go.”

The newly spawned tornadoes swallow up the beasts one after another.

The horde, numbering in the tens of thousands, lets out a dying roar.

In about ten minutes, the tornadoes die down.

Not a single demonic beast is left standing.

Hana and Misa sever the head of the very last beast.

Looking up at the sky, no beasts remain there either.

“Whoa!”

Just then, a small wyvern falls from the sky.

Vim leaps backward to dodge it.

“Hey, Diana! That was dangerous!”

“My apologies, Master! But that was the last one.”

“Well, shall we head back then?”

Vim scoops up Misa and Hana on either side and casts reinforcement magic on his feet.

With a single leap, he scales the cliff all at once.

“Thank you very much.”

“Vim, you’re surprisingly strong for how you look. Do you work out?” Misa asks him.

“Well, sure. But in my case, I’m using magic to reinforce my body.”

Body reinforcement magic is quite convenient.

If you really want to, you can even bounce off iron swords and knives.

“I see. I’m a bit jealous. I can’t use magic myself,” Misa says, looking down slightly.

Magic can’t be used without a natural affinity.

In Vim’s case, he can use magic of all elements, but people like him are exceptionally rare.

People call someone like Vim a person loved by the Goddess.

“From where I stand, I think you’re pretty amazing, Misa.”

Her swordplay—having risen to become an Imperial Guard despite being a woman—is truly impressive.

She lightly swings a sword that is by no means light, fluidly parrying enemy attacks.

It is a level comparable to a seasoned master who has trained relentlessly.

“Th-Thank you very much.”

“Well, they say the grass is always greener on the other side. Maybe wanting what you don’t have is just human nature.”

With those words, Vim and the others begin walking.

“Shall we head to the town of Bayle?”

“Yes, let’s.”

His Majesty had asked them to stop by Bayle, the closest town from here, once everything was settled.

He heard the lord of Bayle was a former close aide to the King.

Currently, he has stepped down from that post to focus entirely on managing his territory.

Since it isn’t very far on foot, they walk at a relaxed pace.

In just a few dozen minutes, they arrive at their destination, the town of Bayle.
