Screech-!! KWAANG-!!
“Ugh!”
“Gah!”
Four elderly men surrounding Yin Monster were flung backward at once.
But only for a moment. Through their gap, Ma Kwang-cheol again pushed in and threw a punch.
It was a ferocious attack that could whip up a whirlwind.
PAANG-!
Yu Seol twisted her torso and deflected the fist—larger than her face—to the right.
Amazingly, evasion and attack happened simultaneously.
Immediately, a fierce fist-wind tore through the air and struck Ma Kwang-cheol’s flank.
CRACK-!!
“Guhk!”
It was the Shaolin Hundred Step Divine Fist that Yu Seol herself had refined.
Ma Kwang-cheol staggered back, blood pooling at the corner of his mouth. His pupils trembled violently—he could scarcely believe the situation.
And skilled fighters from other Justice faction filled the spot where he had stood.
Three swords rushed in from all sides, but Yin Monster didn’t even blink.
She merely swayed her upper body like reeds dancing in the wind.
She dodged so swiftly it seemed as if she produced dozens of afterimages.
Pafat-! Papapat-!!
The sharp martial auras tore through nothing but empty air.
And as one breath ended, Yu Seol’s counterattack began—or at least it only felt that way.
Movements that transcended human limits. Before it, the three elder warriors couldn’t even endure a single exchange.
Crack-! Thud-!! KRAK-!!
“Guhk!”
“Arrgh!”
Each one who approached was slammed into the ground or sent flying into the air.
Even amidst this carnage, there were no deaths because Yin Monster’s punches contained a shred of mercy.
Instead, the number of injured steadily increased over time.
Did they want to deny the situation? The Justice faction warriors who had been attacking doggedly began to falter.
The anger etched on their faces gradually turned into fear.
‘What on earth is happening? How could the Evil faction have such a warrior…’
The eldest son of the Tang family, young family lord Tang Mu-hyeok—one of Sichuan’s top warriors—backed away in shock.
His wounded left arm was badly injured, yet he had no mind to feel the pain.
No one could even touch Yin Monster’s collar—not even the famed top-ten warrior, Ma Kwang-cheol.
The scene felt like a dream.
At last, his gaze shifted a little to the left.
A madman wearing a bamboo hat was laughing, covered in blood.
Sword qi flying from all directions had battered his body, but he didn’t flinch—none of the blows had inflicted deep wounds.
Even now he laughed maniacally and unleashed Shaolin martial arts. The sight sent chills down the spine.
‘Who on earth is that, using Shaolin techniques…’
Tang Mu-hyeok could no longer continue his thoughts—suddenly his qi was separating from his body.
Clang-!
Behind the dull sound, a shadow stretched out long and thin.
Baek Sang, head of the Black Cat Sect. The Evil Faction’s deadliest assassin, he was like a fish meeting water.
Taking advantage of the chaos, five warriors had already died by his hand—an achievement impossible in normal circumstances.
And then, from afar, someone shouted.
“Seol!!!”
It was Yu Jinsan, sprinting toward the scene as fast as he could.
The Dragon Flower Spear slipped from his grasp and spun like a top across the battlefield.
Whirrrrr-!
The spear hovering in midair seemed to sprout wings and was sucked into Yu Seol’s hand.
Thup-!
At that moment, Yu Jinsan heard a qi message from his distant granddaughter.
- Don’t worry, grandpa. I’m fully controlling the situation.
Make a mess and call it ‘control’—what kind of control is that? Sending such an absurd message in a serious tone was infuriating.
Meanwhile, when the Dragon Flower Spear landed in Yin Monster’s hand, the Murim Alliance warriors were gripped with terror—the momentum had shifted.
Against an opponent they already couldn’t handle, he now had a weapon—how could they possibly deal with that?
The Dragon Flower Spear had no cutting edge, so it couldn’t slice, but it could snap weapons and crush bones.
No one could fully withstand Yin Monster’s exchanges.
Crack-! KRAK-! KWAANG-!!
“Arrgh!”
Those in the Yunghwa Spear’s path collapsed in droves.
But the nightmare was only beginning.
To make matters worse, the Evil Sect elders began to arrive one after another.
All the grief and fury the Evil Sect had suffered at the hands of the Justice erupted like a volcano.
“Let’s die today, you rats of the Justice faction!”
“Perish!!”
The Murim Alliance masters turned pale.
Under normal circumstances they would have crushed them easily, but now the situation was different.
How could they stop enemies at their backs when they couldn’t even handle the two in front of them?
Shreek-! KAANG-! Whoooosh-!!
Endless screams. The sounds of bodies being sliced didn’t cease.
They still outnumbered them overwhelmingly, but it was of no help.
Casualties continued to mount, and the pace only quickened.
A desperate shout echoed across the battlefield as someone realized the situation.
“Everyone, fall back!!!”
Everyone was already considering retreat.
But the Evil Sect weren’t about to let them go easily.
Those trying to flee and those trying to stop them clashed.
Amid fierce skirmishes everywhere, Yu Jinsan took a step back.
His concern wasn’t the outcome of the Justice-Evil faction battle.
After a moment, his beast-like gaze, which had been scanning around, fixed on a certain spot.
‘Found them, those bastards.’
Through the chaos he spotted the backs of three figures slipping away.
Their attire was clearly different from Murim Alliance members.
Dressed in black light armor with masks covering their necks—undoubtedly the Blue Dragon troops.
Three of the five had escaped.
These fellows absolutely could not be allowed to go.
Ta-at-!
Yu Jinsan leapt high and landed on a pavilion roof of the temple. In that instant his spirit body leapt again.
Grasping the Dragon Slaying Spear, he charged at the Blue Dragon troops like a madman.
But despite increasing his light footwork technique, the gap didn’t close easily. Perhaps his short legs were a disadvantage—catching them looked difficult.
That didn’t mean there was no way.
“Hup!”
He took a deep breath, drew in his internal qi, and threw the Dragon Slaying Spear with all his might.
Swaaaing-!!
The target was the Blue Dragon troops running at the rear.
A chilling aura clung to the spearhead as it cut through the wind.
Sensing the fierce momentum, the Blue Dragon Troops turned and swung his sword to deflect the flying spear.
At that moment, a triumphant smile crossed Yu Jinsan’s face.
‘Got you, you bastard.’
It wasn’t a spear thrown thoughtlessly.
The family technique of the Yu clan—the deadly spear technique, Flying Thrust into the Body.
Although it consumed much internal qi, it was a technique of correspondingly strong force.
KAAANG-!!
The Blue Dragon who knocked the Dragon Slaying Spear off balance staggered from the heavy impact.
Just as expected.
As he faltered, Yu Jinsan’s movements accelerated rapidly.
It was the moment the Great Body-Shift Divine technique he’d been taught by Jeong Hye shone.
“You bastard!”
Just as confusion crossed their face, Yu Jinsan flew like lightning and side-kicked his chest.
WHAM-!!
Perhaps due to the added acceleration, the struck member flew and tumbled five feet.
With a ‘KWA-DANG’, Yu Jinsan climbed atop his toppled torso.
Then he used the Thousand-Pound Hammer technique to pin him down and pounded out fists.
KWAANG-! KWA-KWAK-!!
Nut-sized punches kept landing, but no decisive blow could be struck—the opponent had raised both arms to shield his face.
“Blocking? Fine, keep blocking like that and see what happens.”
His two fists gleamed pale white, brimming with intent.
Just as he was about to crush the member’s arms—
Suddenly Yu Jinsan’s brows knit.
‘Wait, those guys…?’
The two who had been fleeing ahead had turned back and were running. They must’ve underestimated him and come to rescue their comrade.
Since they carried no weapons, they seemed to be specialists in barehanded fist techniques.
He had to decide quickly.
Judging by their movements, they were probably about the same level as Gambling Ghost he met at the gambling den.
In the past he might’ve given up, but he wasn’t the old Yu Jinsan anymore.
‘Three-to-one is impossible, but against two there’s a chance.’
To do that, he had to quickly take down the man beneath him.
Resolute, Yu Jinsan resumed his assault.
“Drop your arms, you bastard!”
The Blue Dragon troops weren’t going to give in easily.
He too fought tooth and nail, trying to buy time until reinforcements arrived.
Boom-! BOOM-BOOM-!!
Slowly the opponent’s arms loosened, and a vital spot was about to be exposed.
Just as he was about to deliver the finishing blow, something obstructed his view.
Snap-!
The running member’s instep slammed into Yu Jinsan’s face.
Then a heavy blow struck his side.
“Ugh!”
In the past he’d have collapsed instantly. But now the situation was different.
‘I can endure. I believe—Vajra Indestructible Divine Arts!’
Compared to the shock when his granddaughter hit him, this was nothing.
Yu Jinsan gritted his teeth and continued attacking.
Despite kicks coming in from both sides.
The Blue Dragon offers attacking him looked stunned.
“Why isn’t he falling?”
“This damn brat!”
Thud-! Bang-! BOOM-!!
It was a contest to see who would fall first.
Blood trickled from Yu Jinsan’s nose, and his clothing was torn like rags.
He felt his mind growing faint.
Yet he did not stop.
A short while later—
At last Yu Jinsan’s fist broke through the opponent’s defense. Exposed throat, a fatal blow followed.
The member pinned beneath him went limp. Immediately Yu Jinsan rolled aside—his Vajra Indestructible or whatever aside, his body had reached its limit.
Only two remained. They braced themselves with bewildered expressions.
‘At seventy percent, the Huahu is finished here.’
He was greatly drained of energy.
Although it was a two-on-one fight, Yu Jinsan’s expression was not grim.
He had never intended to handle them all alone—his aim was only to pin them down and buy time.
And the reinforcements he’d been waiting for began to arrive just in time.
“Hey, Blue Dragon troops rookies!”
The two Blue Dragon troops members who glanced back flinched in surprise.
A warrior, shirtless and clutching twin blades, strode toward them.
Rippling muscles and a brutal bald head—Baek Gyu, head of the Defeating Blade clan. His face smeared with someone’s blood was chilling.
“……”
“These bastards really messed up our brother’s face.”
From Baek Gyu’s twin blades rose a razor-sharp blade aura that rippled outward.
Unlike the transcendent Yu Jinsan, he ranked among absolute masters who formed a terrifying presence.
The Blue Dragon troops backed away and sought escape the moment Baek Gyu approached.
But no such chance was given. Evil Faction elders were appearing from all directions.
Maeng Jiho, deputy leader of Evil Sect Alliance, and Yang Gyun, the top master of the Ghost Assassin Clan. Then Swift-Lightning Blade Cheon Mu-ryong and the Tainted Evil Mad Sword, Man Jong.
Other Evil Sect luminaries—names anyone would recognize—encircled them.
Each of them was far stronger than Yu Jinsan.
“Looks like these guys have completely lost their minds.”
“Have their eyes gone on holiday? Don’t they know who that is?”
“How dare they mess with Yin Monster’s buddy without fear.”
There was nowhere to run.
It was like two sheep entering a lion’s den.
The pupils of the desperate warriors fixed on something.
And they could see it clearly.
Yin Monster striding through the Evil Sect and towards them.
A moment later, Yu Seol stood before them and glanced at her grandfather.
“May I intervene?”
