The Next Day, Magical Technology Created The Magical Armament

The next day, it was calm and peaceful.
No—actually, it wasn’t calm and peaceful.
Young Master Naiye caught a cold!
His constitution had always been frail; he caught a chill after not wearing clothes all night!
But Eir, as a Dragon Knight, had excellent physical resilience and was completely fine after the night—ironically, Naiye was the one hit by it!
This time she was much more docile, actively caring for Naiye, even feeling as though it was her fault that Young Master Naiye had caught a chill……
“I’m sorry, Young Master Naiye, it’s all my fault…”
“It’s nothing, just a chill, only a minor illness—treat today as a day of rest.”
Young Master Naiye blushed and lay weakly in bed, while Eir was tending to him.
Eir had already nursed Naiye back to basic stability; she just needed to stay by his side and care for him.
Originally the Dark Knight Weiluxika had wanted to stay behind and look after Naiye.
Young Master Naiye cared more about Weiluxika’s training and vetoed her idea of skipping a visit to President Meiyu today; leaving him to Eir would suffice.
Now only Eir remained here caring for Young Master Naiye.
—Young Master Naiye is so cute when he’s weak.
This was what Eir had been thinking since last night—last night he had clearly been so forceful in commanding her.
Today he was weak like a child.
Eir’s cool pride resurfaced inwardly, and she even assumed Young Master Naiye didn’t know.
“…………”
Naiye helplessly squinted at her.
Ding-dong~ The gate chimed—someone had arrived.
“Eir, go see who’s come; accept anything they bring, but I won’t see anyone.”
“Yes.”
After Eir left, Young Master Naiye turned over once and fell straight asleep.
He really didn’t want to see anyone today.
At the manor gate.
Separated by the gate, two female knights exuded a calm yet exceptionally ferocious, terrifying aura.
Passing cadets sensed the atmosphere from afar and immediately detoured to run away!
One, an icy beauty with a frosty aura—sharp and aloof like a mountain peak, beautiful and proud—wore the Disciplinary Chair’s beret on an ice-blue ponytail.
The other was a towering beauty, cool and unafraid of the heavens and earth, radiating a resilient, arrogant indifference; her tall frame looked down at her with haughty disdain.
The Ice-element Knight Ice Tina and the Silver Knight Eir.
Two very similar people, upon meeting, opposed each other like a blocking mountain and the gale that tries to climb over it.
Young Master Naiye was too lazy even to try to reconcile their antagonism.
Because they simply clashed in temperament; it was hard to stop.
The good news was it didn’t reach true enmity—not that kind of terrible hatred.
The bad news was making them get along peacefully was very difficult.
Like heaven and earth—they weren’t enemies, but they wouldn’t cross the horizon to touch each other either.
When the two met they didn’t even exchange words or make any moves.
They started a cold stare-down that seemed like a contest of willpower, big eyes glaring at small eyes.
The surrounding atmosphere instantly turned terrifying.
Yet in the end, the two, rare as it was, each took a step back and stopped simultaneously.
They couldn’t fight again this time—the lesson of how they left Young Master Naiye’s courtyard in ruins last time was still vivid in their minds.
“…………..”
“……………”
This time they were sensible enough not to fight, though each was a little irritated, constantly looking down on the other.
Besides, they had a purpose today; they weren’t here to fight.
The Silver Knight Eir first stepped forward, crossed the gate with both hands out, but didn’t speak.
The Ice-element Knight Ice Tina frowned but still handed over a gift to visit Naiye.
A fruit cake boxed as a gift—quite a nice present—but Eir said nothing, and Ice Tina said nothing either.
After receiving the gift, Eir simply turned to leave.
“Wait! I want to see Naiye—at least let me see how he’s doing.”
“No, no—he’s not seeing visitors today. Young Master Naiye is ill and cannot have contact with others; those are his exact words!”
Ice Tina knew Eir would try to stop her, but didn’t expect that this was Naiye’s own wish…….
It meant Naiye truly didn’t want to see people—he was likely asleep and genuinely didn’t want contact.
Ice Tina sighed, straightened the Disciplinary Chair’s cap with both hands, and said earnestly.
“Then please convey my feelings to Young Master Naiye; I will come again to see him when he recovers.”
“I will convey it.”
Ice Tina turned and left; the gate closed again.
Eir glanced back as well, then returned to Naiye’s side.
Their actions and dialogue had not a trace of idle talk or fuss.
This counted as one of the very similar traits they shared.
On the third day, Young Master Naiye had steadily recovered his health.
While he was ill, many people came to visit, and he accepted their goodwill.
But Young Master Naiye still refused to meet anyone.
He still hadn’t left the manor and had been mentally sketching out his designs these past days.
However, neither the results nor the process were satisfactory.
The completion probability even dropped to 20% because he removed Eiru’s Dragon Crystal Stone.
Removing Eiru’s Dragon Crystal Stone cut the odds by 5%—so whether it was there or not barely mattered anymore.
So Young Master Naiye used Eiru’s Dragon Crystal Stone, that top-tier energy source, elsewhere.
Naiye waved his left hand! A complete mechanical left arm extended from his shoulder to cover his left hand; in appearance it resembled a prosthetic, styled like a knight’s left arm-plate.
Dark base with red edges, and a crimson vein ran from the shoulder all the way down to the palm.
The crimson pattern had been dull and lifeless, as if it held no energy.
But now—at will.
The crimson stripe began to shine! On closer inspection it flowed slowly like a river.
And inside it was filled with abundant energy!
This was the technological product that Naiye and Dr. Emira had been researching.
A magical technology armament—let’s call it that common, easy-to-understand name for now.
And this armor, created using magical technology as a whole, had a very important yet extremely simple purpose.
Naiye’s body was too weak; he didn’t want to always hide behind others.
He also had the desire to fight!
Because Naiye’s most fundamental weakness was very real.
His body was too frail—no matter how much he trained, even a hundred times over, he still couldn’t surpass the female knights of this Academy.
But so what? Then he’d accomplish it in another way!
Just like the elements of the Elemental Knights, or the dragon-blood of the Dragon Knights.
The Lycoris family also possessed magical technology.
Since he himself had the power of magical technology, he’d use it.
Although there was still a long way to go—after all, it was only a single left arm-plate.
And he had spent one of Eiru’s Dragon Crystal Stones; that was the kind of Dragon Crystal Stone that the current strongest Dragon Knight could only produce once every fifty years.
Other Dragon Knights couldn’t match it—only Eren could, but you’d have to wait over forty years!
But Young Master Naiye wasn’t discouraged; he could just enjoy this result for now!
Everything is hardest at the start; once the first step is past, things get a lot easier!
At this pace, tomorrow would begin the first step toward the Magical Dragon-form Knight!
