“It hurts! Tch!”

A sharp pain shot through his left hand! Naiye shook his left hand and hurriedly removed the left-hand armor.

He felt a wave of weakness and a lack of mana! This was rare—Young Master Naiye hadn’t experienced mana shortage in a very long time.

As expected, it was still not enough.

“The left hand alone truly isn’t enough.”

Having only the left hand was clearly insufficient; it easily caused all of his body’s mana to concentrate there.

That led to the earlier mistake and the weakness.

In other words, if Naiye wanted to truly wear the Magical Technology armor, at minimum the breastplate and the right hand also needed to be completed, so the body would have a driving core and wouldn’t suffer the pain just experienced.

It’s like someone suddenly training desperately, but only training the left hand.

After the exercise, not only did the left hand fail to improve, but it actually harmed the whole body.

The burden Naiye had just felt was about like that, so he quickly understood what had happened.

But it didn’t matter much—after all, it was already done; such a small thing meant little to Naiye.

Night, in the bathhouse.

“………….”

Naiye sat in the hot pool, his gaze vacant as he looked up toward the distant ceiling.

Though above there was only a misty ceiling and somewhat dim lighting.

Young Master Naiye had been in this state these past few days—his mind constantly plotting and researching, showing little interest in anything else.

It made him look very much like a joyless madman with dull eyes.

Although there’s a saying that a madman and a genius are separated only by a mirror.

Dark Knight Weiluxika was already used to this; in such times the approach was simple—don’t disturb Young Master Naiye.

Only the newly arrived Silver Knight Eir wasn’t clear on this and was a bit worried whether Young Master Naiye had fallen into depression.

When Naiye should have been left alone, Eir rushed over to scrub Young Master Naiye’s back.

She was, incidentally, making up for the last time the back-scrubbing was interrupted by Grandmother Eiru.

Throughout the process, Young Master Naiye was unusually calm, surrendering like a child as Eir easily handled him and placed him in front of herself.

Her long, firm, and ample thighs rested on either side, and Naiye’s hands naturally lay upon them, without any extra movement.

As Eir scrubbed Naiye’s back, he continued to think.

After a while, he stopped and suddenly said to Eir.

“Eir, do you remember the first time you met Weiluxika?”

“No….”

Eir thought carefully but had no real impression—she hadn’t paid much attention to others at that time.

I see, Young Master Naiye roughly understood—Eir didn’t know about Weiluxika’s dark-colored markings.

“You probably didn’t notice it—Weiluxika didn’t dare meet people then. Eiru and I went over ourselves; you were behind and didn’t notice.”

“Why? What happened to her?”

“It seems Weiluxika hasn’t told you yet; that’s normal. It’s her emotional wound—she resists everyone except me.”

Naiye leaned back, lying against Eir’s rounded, upright, and full body.

Eir stopped her movements and tried to recall matters concerning Weiluxika.

But sadly, nothing came to mind……..

“What… happened to her?”

Eir asked cautiously—she didn’t understand the situation and thought Weiluxika had always been this cheerful.

“She was bullied since childhood and lived a hard life because she has dark-colored markings on her body that looked frightening and unsettling; this caused her great pain and resentment until she met me. Of course, the reason it’s invisible now and she seems cheerful is because I’ve hid it.”

“It’s like……….”

“Like how you wanted to rise when you were young but were discriminated against by others because of your dragon blood.”

Young Master Naiye’s sudden words stabbed at Eir’s heart!

“………….”

Eir had been stubborn since childhood, single-mindedly climbing toward the ranks of the Dragon Knights; if she had been an ordinary knight it wouldn’t matter, but she, oblivious and reckless in her desire to rise,

was met with much discrimination and hostility for a simple reason—her dragon blood was considered useless.

When she became the captain of the Dragon Knights, she thought people would acknowledge her.

But she discovered that people began unconsciously distancing themselves from her.

Even Ice Tina, whom she had only fought a few times, sensed it, while Eir herself had no idea.

Young Master Naiye could feel Eir behind him tensing completely, becoming motionless.

Around them, only steam and the sound of water remained.

After pricking Eir’s heart, Naiye began to warm her inner feelings.

“You probably don’t know—part of the reason Weiluxika was willing to become a Dark Knight is because of you.”

“Me? But I haven’t even met her, have I?”

“She secretly saw you; when I proposed training her to become a knight, her eyes turned toward you!

“She admires you greatly! You are an important reason she became a knight!”

The awe-inspiring, powerful, and resolute Silver Dragon Knight.

Became the goal of the Dark Knight’s growth!

And Naiye Lycoris gave her a reason to live.

“That’s one reason I trained her to become a Dark Knight; I also think that in the future you might become my Silver Knight.”

“You… you had that planned all along?”

Faced with Eir’s surprise, Naiye merely smiled faintly.

“How could that be? I only thought it at the time—perhaps the very reason I wanted to train knights in the first place was because of you.”

“…………”

To think she was Weiluxika’s idol and motivating goal! This actually moved Eir deeply inside!

She had never been admired or relied upon like this back in the Dragon Knights’ household!

Whether becoming the captain of the Dragon Knights or Grandmother Eiru’s guard, those promotions only made others dislike and distance themselves from her more………..

Eir suddenly felt much better after leaving the Dragon Knights!

This sudden thought popped up, and Eir didn’t even realize how relieved she felt!

She didn’t realize these conversations were all deliberately brought up by Young Master Naiye.

His purpose was simple: he wanted to improve the relationship between his two knights.

So far, although Weiluxika was a senior and very enthusiastic toward Eir, Eir always couldn’t open up her heart.

But after these nights of punishment and today’s heart-to-heart, Eir finally opened up.

“Young Master Naiye, how should I get along well with Weiluxika?”

“You are her knight idol; she is naturally very friendly toward you. If it were someone else, Weiluxika’s social anxiety would have acted up long ago………

“You also can’t use the ‘I don’t care’ attitude from the Dragon Knights’ household—this is Lycoris. Both of you need to be slightly more proactive.”

Young Master Naiye turned his head and looked into Eir’s pale blue dragon eyes.

“Regarding the dark-colored markings, I’ve experimented many times; it should be something like a tattoo? But it still looks a bit frightening, and Weiluxika is very afraid of it.

“When she someday voluntarily tells you, that will be enough. Of course, I’ll mention it but won’t command her—go and foster the relationship yourself.”

“Yes……..”

Originally Young Master Naiye wanted to do something more, but it seemed he had bathed too long and his body was too warm.

As always, Eir was unaffected.

Naiye lay in her arms and let her carry him back.
