SDO V2 is Live — And This is Just the Beginning
Hello, ladies and gentlemen! We have an exciting announcement for you all today! As you can see, our lovely developer has updated the site from the ground up!
Though it wasn't a perfect launch, as many new features were planned to be added, it seems our server couldn't process it properly. So we stripped it down to the essentials and will slowly incorporate the rest of the new features over time. Please bear with us as we take a few more days to ensure everything is working properly!
Now that that's all settled, we WELCOME YOU TO
Sky Demon Order Version 2!
We've got a revamped new look and still have new features for you all to try out as well!
First of all, I want to bring all of your attention to the new home screen!
For the most part, it functions the same way, but we have some new exciting additions!
Take a look to the side and you'll be able to see a list of the top completed and ongoing series!
You can see what's trending for both our site's completed series and currently active series.
We also ask you to scroll down, as we have more to show!
Keeping to the side, we've also shown the latest comment section, so you can see new comments that appear on SDO for any and every series available! Come check out all the newest hot topics that our series have to offer through this section! And witness fellow fans' reactions and interactions to your heart's content!
Scrolling down even further, we even have a top commenters leaderboard!
You can check out who's got the most activity on the site, too. We also promise to incorporate the leaderboard into future competitions and community events as well!
Finally, we scroll down even further to witness the Explore Genres option! You can take a look at the most notable and prominent genres for the stories at SDO to choose something even more aligned to your tastes!
Let's go back to the leaderboard for a second as well. Here is how it looks:
We display what the top commenters look like, and the top streaks (basically the person who has the most interactions within the site).
After the leaderboard, I would like to introduce you all to the new browsing section!
You now have a couple of options to look for the series you wanted in a fast and convenient way!

You can search for your series or filter for series using our new system, which judges tags, release status, genres, series type, language type, and more!

It is good to note that from now on, if you want to unlock a series, you have to search for the series you want to unlock on the site, click the series page, and click the unlock button within that page.
Aside from that, we've shifted the Novel Updates section to be near our new ratings meter!
We have given you 5 stars to choose from when rating the series you read! Of course, you must be signed in to rate them!
If we scroll down, though, you can see the first new major feature we've added to the site!
A Commission Chapters option!
Here, if you really want to support the series and especially want to get to the ending as fast as possible, consider sending some support our way, and we will ensure the production for that series speeds up and gets you the chapters you wanted!
We also have little icons on our site next to the chapter titles so you can see the views of the chapter, the likes of the chapter, and the comments on a chapter.
You can also search for the chapter number you want, thanks to the number filter right above them!
Now let's move on to the actual chapter page!
We've got the usual minimalized and simplified style that you've all come to know and love!
But the main show comes from below!
As you can see, we have the like button here as well! Remember that all likes, comments, and interactions will be used for future competitions, lotteries, and events in the future! So please keep an eye out! We also hope you all will come to love using these features every time you read with us. And one main way we can do that is with the most important update we've added to the comment section to this date!

We take links from Imgur and JPG files as well, so don't hold back and do whatever… Wait, not whatever; please don't post pornographic content in the comments or anything disturbing or illegal. We don't want to get flagged, and we don't want the comment section to be disturbed either, so we please once again ask you to be mindful!
For the final update, I present to you all the Server Profile!
This exciting new system allows you to see what other SDO users are reading on the site, and you get to have your own profile banner as well! You can also see the comments the user has posted on other series. This profile system will be important for future functionalities that we will introduce later on, so keep an eye on it and use it to your heart's content!
Lastly, for a small heads up, we've changed the 18+ toggle filter on the site and mobile.

What's Next? The Road Ahead!
And that's not all! V2 of SDO gives us the backbone for some exciting future endeavors that are on the roadmap for this year, and we're very close to finishing them!
1. SDO Originals
A brand new section where authors can post their own works and monetize them if they prefer! We have in mind an 8% site cut from us on site token sales after payment processor fees, and the rest goes straight to the authors. And the best part? No ads for Originals!
2. SDO Licensing
We really want to start looking for deals with publishers to get you legal translations! We already have the infrastructure in place; we only need some publishers to trust us. And SDO Originals will help us show them good faith (we hope)!
3. Better Translation Payment Options
We're looking to try a more simple monetization system. It's going to be riskier for us, but the idea is to release webnovels fully translated, or at least as many chapters as possible initially, and drop the subscriptions in favor of a flat fee for the product. We think this will give readers a better chance of purchasing and give the translators the funds they need to complete works. We really don't like dropping stories, but sometimes it is what it is.
SDO Originals will be launching in at most a month, with a small writing competition featuring a $500 grand prize! Not a lot, but it's something to start with :)
