“Stop chasing me, stop chasing me…”
The little fox was running for her life.
In front of her, behind her, on her left and right, a few dozen cultivators in white kept unleashing sword force at her.
The ground kept resounding with blasts.
She dodged them left and right, but she would still get hit from time to time.
Her snowy white fur was dyed red by her blood.
The sword force left lines on her body, unleashing frightening qi that turned her flesh to mush.
She finally managed to escape to somewhere near the cave, her energy drained.
She hid behind a rock and looked at the man inside whose eyes seemed soulless.
She licked her wounds and tried to wait until her wounds stopped bleeding, and tried to make her fur look a little whiter and neater.
Then she perked herself up and leaped into the cave while enduring the pain she felt.
“Hey, I’m back.”
…
“Get out!”
The man inside the cave yelled at her like he had gone mad.
She pretended not to have heard him and just used her mouth to gently pick up the pills that had rolled onto the ground.
…
“I don’t think you can shapeshift, right?”
The little fox felt her face grow hot and her body stiffened.
“You’re really such a blockhead. How do you expect me to answer such a question…”
…
“I want to see what you look like.”
When she heard what the man beside her said, the little fox was a little hesitant. What if I scare him, she thought.
But she shapeshifted in the end and felt inferior as she bowed her head, unwilling to let this man see the other side of her face.
To her surprise, he said: you’re very beautiful.
The little fox felt her heartrate increase. Everyone around her had despised her, so this was the first time someone had actually complimented her.
…
“Live and die together.”
The little fox stood at the entrance to the Forbidden Zone and her expression shifted slightly when she heard the man’s low utterance.
All these years, she had been wandering the human realm all by herself and hadn’t felt any warmth at all.
“Live and die together.”
Without her realizing, she blurted out the same words. She set her gaze on her destination ahead and suddenly felt like this Forbidden Zone wasn’t that scary anymore.
…
“You’re so heavy…”
The little fox was running like crazy as she dragged the man along. Hundreds of large birds covered the sky as they chased after her, making her pale and skinny figure look extremely frail.
“I don’t care if I die, but you mustn’t die. It hadn’t been easy to rescue you…”
She put in more effort into running.
…
“It hurts so much.”
The little fox stood in the cursed rain and used her body to shelter the man under her from it.
“Bleaagh.” The bloodline curse was acting up again. Blood started flowing from her nose and mouth.
She hurried to lick everything clean.
“I hope he didn’t see that. Otherwise, this blockhead’s going to start blaming himself again…”
…
“Wow, this blockhead’s amazing. He’s cultivated for only a short time, yet he’s so powerful now.”
There was a gleam of admiration in the little fox’s eyes.
…
The little fox was getting weaker and weaker.
She collapsed in the man’s arms and felt the warmth of his embrace.
“What a warm embrace…I’m so tired and I wish I could just die right now, but I’m so afraid you’d forget me.”
…
ROAR!
An ear-deafening roar shocked the little fox awake from her slumber.
She looked up and saw that the man was nowhere to be found.
“Changqing.”
It took her great effort to get up and look toward where that roar had come from.
“He’s in danger, I have to save him.”
She trembled as she stood up, then broke the last seal around the last bit of power she had left, vomiting several mouthfuls of blood as a result. Doing this was consuming her from the inside but she didn’t care.
She ran like crazy and disregarded the blood seeping from her body.
“You’ve got to wait for me!”
…
The little fox leaped into the valley and saw the man covered in severe wounds fall from the sky into the lake.
Tears came to her eyes. “Stupid crocodile, I’m going to bite you to death!”
…
“I’m so glad both of us were able to survive.”
The little fox looked at the man who was holding her hand and a satisfied smile spread across her face. “Does that mean I get to be with you forever?”
…
“Hey, don’t you have any unfulfilled wishes?”
The little fox stared at the man in front of her who kept shaking his head and was so annoyed. She thought, you don’t have me in your heart at all.
She turned back into her fox self and started running.
“Wait up!”
She heard the sound of the man running anxiously after her.
So she couldn’t help but feel happy about it and tried her best to slow down.
…
The little fox smiled as she enjoyed the sunshine.
Her nine tails swished about in the water as she glanced at the blockhead next to her.
“If you confess to me right now, I won’t turn you down…”
…
The little fox pretended to fall asleep in the man’s arms.
She then used a secret technique of the Qingqiu Spirit Foxes to knock the man out.
Then she looked up and chuckled. “I’m sure you’ll have good dreams tonight.”
But after she chuckled, she started choking back sobs. “Changqing, I really can’t bear to leave your side.”
She stroked the man’s cheek, then kissed him gently. “Big blockhead, you’ve got to live on well in the future…”
…
Scene after scene flashed in the sky like they were at a theatre.
Gu Changqing smiled sadly.
“I owe you a lot, after all.”
Bam!
Gu Changqing’s body shook violently as the terrifying true might of a Great Emperor burst and spread into the sky, filling the heavens, the void, the lands.
The entire universe trembled fearfully and countless stars were extinguished.
Gu Changqing’s Great Emperor dao fruit shattered all of a sudden, and his Great Emperor cultivation disappeared.
…
“He seriously destroyed his Great Emperor dao fruit!”
Outside the mirror.
The cultivators had flabbergasted looks on their faces.
“He became Great Emperor at only twenty years old! That’s insane!”
“He was a Great Emperor of the Heavenly Dao, and when he became Great Emperor, he had attracted countless qi, blessings and merit.”
“If he hadn’t destroyed his dao fruit, his cultivation journey in the future would definitely be protected by the Heavenly Dao or perhaps he might even have a breakthrough and become history’s youngest, immortal and most powerful cultivator.”
“But despite all that…”
The cultivators fell silent again as they sighed silently.
A young man who had just stepped into the Great Emperor realm to become the pride of the heavens and had divine might that could shake the universe, destroyed everything yet again with such resolution!
Everyone really felt the pain in their hearts now.
Even though this was the same Heavenly Emperor that would eventually become the immoral, inhuman devil that would nearly destroy the world.
The Qingqiu Empress Bai Su’s face of unparalleled beauty was covered in tears. She didn’t even notice when it happened.
She choked back sobs in her heart and felt a bottomless sorrow.
But she didn’t know why she felt this way or where this sorrow had come from…
By right, she should have been very happy to see that he had destroyed his Great Emperor dao fruit…
