Today’s earnings were 3.12 million gold.
There were also pre-orders, but that’s still astonishing.
When I arrived at Lord Goral’s office, I immediately began today’s report.
I’m not obliged to report this, but it’s a way to show myself to Lord Goral.
“Lord Goral. Today’s earnings amounted to 3.12 million gold.”
“You’re doing well, it seems.”
“Yes. I think it’s because some goods we had the merchant order were delivered.”
“…I see.”
That was the end of the conversation. As I bowed and turned to leave,
“Wait, Faik.”
He called out to me, and I turned back.
Lord Goral, who had been staring at me, exhaled.
“…To be honest, I’m surprised.”
“…Huh?”
“I never imagined that, in a foreign land where no one knew you, you’d be able to move this much merchandise in less than a month.”
“There’s an element of luck. Much of my current income depends on the merchant. If he abandons me, my earnings would drop drastically.”
“That may be true, but not all of your earnings come from the merchant, right?”
“That’s right. Adventurers have been purchasing from me, and I’ve asked them to recommend me to others.”
I also added “If you liked it, please introduce me to your friends” to the adventurers who bought items today.
I don’t know if they’ll become regulars like Ivas or Weather, but there’s a chance things will expand from here.
“Your skills as a blacksmith are the real deal, aren’t they?”
Lord Goral stared at me and said that plainly.
…At those words, I immediately bowed my head.
“Thank you.”
“…There’s one thing I’d like to ask of you.”
“What is it?”
“Could you repair this sword for me?”
Lord Goral said that and pulled out a sword from behind the desk.
I couldn’t see it from where I was standing, but it must have been propped up there.
“May I take a look?”
I took the ornately decorated sword and drew it from its sheath.
The blade itself was fine. That made me realize at once that by “repair” he meant the Enchantment.
When I examined the internal magical information, the sheer volume of it made me dizzy for a moment.
It felt like a huge amount of information had been hammered directly into my brain.
This is the phenomenon that occurs when you look at magical information beyond your own capacity.
…I need to concentrate.
I took a deep breath and checked the sword’s magical information again.
The program written into it was basic. However, the magic infused within it—and its enormous quantity—caused the dizziness I felt earlier.
On inspection, there were glitches here and there. If this sword is used as it is, it will eventually break.
“Can you see it?”
“Yes, I can see it. However, this is not something I can fix immediately.”
“…I see. How long will it take?”
“I’ll have it finished by tomorrow.”
“Understood. There’s no need to hurry. Take your time but be thorough in the repair.”
“Understood. I’ll take it into my care.”
“Ah.”
I received Lord Goral’s sword and bowed once.
“Then, I’ll bring the completed sword at the same time tomorrow.”
“As I said earlier, there’s no need to rush.”
Of course I understand.
I understood that this sword was important to Lord Goral, so I intended to return it to him carefully, reliably, and promptly.
