The Uninvited Guest of the Haunted Mansion

It was already the tenth regression.

Serenity Primdellrose had been caught in an endless cycle of death and resurrection inside the haunted mansion of the ghost story.

All around her lurked anomalous beings that fed on her, while the mansion itself seemed determined to kill her.

The only way out was to finish the one and only rulebook and uncover the hidden escape route.

But then—

“Hello, Lady Primdellrose.”

“…Duke Blake Lambert?”

A suspicious, unknown entity appeared.

Duke Blake Lambert.

At first, Serenity thought he was just another anomalous being, approaching her under the guise of an engagement, biding his time to claim her life.

Yet something about him was different. Whenever she stood on the brink of death, Blake would appear out of nowhere to save her.

He bent the mansion’s rules to his will so skillfully that it was hard to believe he was an outsider.

And all he demanded of her was one thing.

“Choose me, Serenity.”

“……”

“You will, without a doubt.”

What did that “choice” mean?

Why was Blake helping her in this monstrous mansion?

In the end, none of it mattered. Serenity was willing to grasp at anything—use anyone—if it meant escaping this accursed tale of horrors.
